As we build towards our next phase of The Sunshine Center, we do not passively sit and wait. The Sunshine Center has already begun partnering within our local community to meet the needs within our growing population. Over the past two years we have started using a local facility to launch two community initiatives. Pictured to the left you will see Seth Max, a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer, training students with their strength and agility. We are helping students become stronger athletes within their prospective sports. We are continuing to expand this program to serve more students in meaningful ways.
Passionate about serving our community and beyond, The Sunshine Center actively hosts:
Over the past 15 years that my family has been residents of Morgan Township, Heartland has been a valuable and welcoming community partner to all families, students, and neighbors.
Morgan Township is a growing community and I feel that there continues to be a few unmet needs and resources to support that growth. We currently have limited resources for families with regards to preschool/childcare, religious contributions, resources for families with special needs and facilities for sports and wellness for our school community. The construction of The Sunshine Center would not only expand on what Heartland already does to support our community but will add many new aspects to benefit all the individuals in our neighborhoods and continue to connect people from all walks of life. This project is exciting as it will unite our community by providing new volunteer opportunities, create continued support for new community projects, will positively impact our youth by providing healthy physical and social outlets, while creating a sense of family within our neighborhoods.
In closing, The Sunshine Center has already garnered the support of myself and my family. We are all excited about the benefits and opportunities that this will provide and are looking forward to being a part of it. Whether it be utilizing, volunteering or supporting its efforts....count us in.”

We are so thankful for the Parents’ Night Out through The Sunshine Center. It is nice to be able to take Bella to a safe, Christ-centered program where she can have fun with friends. This program allows us to be able to drop Bella off and know she is safe and cared for while having fun. This allows my husband and me to have some free time to ourselves. To be honest, there are very few places we are comfortable doing this at, but we never worry or second guess that she is not in good hands. We cannot wait to see what else will be added as Bella gets older, and hope she can grow with the program and it can be a place that is her place!
